Responsible party

The responsible party (controller) for personal information processed through this site is Tidequarry Interactive DMCC, Almas Tower, Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, PO Box 48800. Requests about your information go to [email protected].

What the server records

Like any web server, ours writes a line for each request: IP address, timestamp, requested URL, referrer and browser string. These entries help us keep finestonlinegambling.com online and catch misuse; they are deleted once they no longer serve that.

Cookies

Every page sets two: mz_vid holds an arbitrary visitor ID for twelve months, while mz_src notes the referring source, such as search, social or direct, for 30 days. Clicking through /go/ sets two more, XSRF-TOKEN and mozbiz_session; both lapse within roughly 20 hours. The visitor ID is passed along with the partner link so that the operator can credit a registration to us. Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Meta pixels and ad scripts are absent from the site. Names, purposes and removal steps are on the cookie page.

Why we process it

Serving the pages; shielding the site from attacks and bulk copying; tallying which articles send readers to partners, so commission statements can be checked; replying to your emails. Personal information is never sold, and no ad profile is built from it.

Emails

A message to the editors is used to reply and to fix whatever it reports. Once the matter is closed the thread is deleted, unless we must keep it to meet a legal obligation.

Who else sees data

The hosting company and the content-delivery network that serves the pages process traffic on our behalf. An operator you sign up with collects its own data under its own notice, which you should read on its site.

Transfers outside South Africa

Our responsible party is based in Dubai and our servers sit outside the country, so details about South African readers are processed abroad. Only the log and cookie data described above is involved.

Your rights under POPIA

POPIA, the Protection of Personal Information Act 2013, entitles you to learn what details of yours we store, to see them fixed or erased, and to refuse further processing. Write to the address above to exercise any of these. Complaints can also be taken to South Africa’s Information Regulator.

Minors

We write for adults of 18 and older and make no effort to gather information on anyone younger.

Revisions

A new kind of processing is described here before it starts; the date under the heading marks the current text.
